It all started one sunny afternoon when Vasha was hungry. He'd been walking home from his summer job when his stomach begn to growl. So, of course, he looked around and went into the first open resturant he spotted. Inside, he slid into a booth. That's when be first really noticed her. Sure, he'd seen her around town a couple of times, but Vasha hadn't really talked to her before. But, here she was, an actual angel. All Vasha mnew about her was she didn't like it all that much when boys tried to court her.
  "Sir? Are you alright?"
Vasha snapped out of his mind and looked up at the waiter  who'd come to help him.
"Oh, yes. I'd like a cup of coffee."
The waiter raised an eyebrow, "Are you sure that's all I can get you? One of our chefs makes some very good Sushki."
"That sounds good," Vasha mumbled. Throughout this conversation, he hadn't taken his eyes off the woman with the wavy hair and the fierce eyes. He already knew that she had an everlasting fire in her. There's no way someone with those kind of eyes can be dull. Vasha didn't notice when the waitress moved away. Eventually, the woman looked up, giving poor Vasha a puzzeled look.
He tilted his head down in shame at being caught staring. He heard footsteps and prayed they weren't hers. He had a feeling he'd regret it if he pissed her off.
  "Hello, cutie."
Vasha looked up in astonishment. She'd just caught him staring at her and, instead of kicking him out, this woman had come over to talk to him.
"You're beautiful" he blurted out. The women looked startled. She stared at him with wide eyes for what felt like forever. Vasha blushed and tried to fix his mistake, "I mean, I think you're beautiful. And I'm sure many other men think so too. And your personality is probably wonderful. That's weird. I'm sorry."
The woman burst into laughter, surprising Vasha. She laughed for a few minutes before caing it down to chuckles so she could speak, "Oh, oh ho ho, I'm so sorry, but you look cute when you're flustered."
She wiped her eyes and sighed before holding out a hand, "My name is Ruslana. And you are?"
The man stared at her hand for a second before shyly taking hold of it, "I am Vasha. It is wonderful to meet you, Ruslana."
"It is good to meet you, too, Vasha. I like your name. I should be getting back to the kitchen now. I'll see you around."
Vasha nodded. The woman- Ruslana- walked back to the kitchen. She threw a wink at him over her shoulder.
It seemed to Vasha like this chance encounter was over. He got his food and his drink. He ate in silence, thinking about Ruslana. The restaurant got busier as he ate. Then, he heard a shout from the kitchen.
"One of you bitch ass waiters get over here and do your fucking job!"
Vasha would be lying if he said that didn't send his poor heart racing in his chest. He decided right then and there that this woman would be his, no matter what.
So, :icon-saxitlurg: has a series calling Simon and Vya and I'm in love with the romance between Vya's parents. So, I wrote this drabble. Everything here is based entirely off of what I think is their characters. I'm sorry if this is OOC, this is what I feel is going on with them.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!! I LOVE THIS, THANK YOU!! (and sorry for taking so long to respond to it OTL) And it's a little OOC, but to be fair, I've barely drawn anything with them. And I really like your interpretation, it's very sweet. I love that Vasha decided so quickly that this is the woman he's gonna marry, come hell or high water  You make me want to draw them more haha
